Join our growing and expert North American team. SouthE provides high-quality service and commissioning support to customers in the maritime, energy, pulp, paper, and other process industries.
Are you the E&I professional we are looking for, who desires the freedom of flexible work and the opportunity to travel and experience diverse work environments?
Founded in 2018, SouthE provides high-quality service and commissioning support to customers in the maritime, energy, pulp, paper, and other process industries. We operate in both Finland and the North American markets, and our business is growing at a double-digit percentage annually. Our revenue is expected to exceed one million euros this year, and new clients are driving the need for an even larger team in the future.
We are now looking for a skilled EIA professional with previous experience in process automation and industrial environments to join our team. Approximately 50-70% of your work time will involve travel, mainly focused on North America.
The average duration of a work trip is up to 7 days, and during the time between trips, you can enjoy your time off—though you will need to be reachable by email and phone as needed. Even if you are not currently residing in the United States, you should have a Green Card or citizenship—or the ability to obtain them relatively quickly—and be prepared to relocate to the East Coast of the United States.
With us, you will have the opportunity to work globally with significant and major clients while becoming a part of our company’s growth story. SouthE offers the chance to take the next step in your career in an exciting environment where flexibility and high quality are prioritized.
“Our employees describe our work community as knowledgeable, flexible, and positive—a group of energetic people. It’s important to us that work is done with trust and that our clients receive genuinely excellent care!”

You will be a vital link between our customers and our team, working closely with the company’s owners and experts. In the long term, you will have the opportunity to build a fascinating future within a growing organization, and we are happy to discuss, for example, an option program as part of engagement and overall compensation.
The selected candidate should have a Green Card or citizenship—or the ability to obtain them relatively quickly—and the readiness to relocate to the East Coast of the United States on short notice.

- Provide technical support via phone and email.
- Conduct on-site customer training and consulting.

If you recognize yourself below, you might be the one we are looking for:
- You have several year of experience in process automation (e.g., Valmet DNA) and in E&I roles within the industry.
- You are familiar with electrical troubleshooting in the E&I field and have basic knowledge of PLC/process automation systems.
- You have fluent English language skills.
- You have a green card or equivalent U.S. work authorization, and willingness to already live in or relocate to the United States.
- Finnish language skills are seen as an advantage.
In addition, you:
- are able to work effectively without strict instructions and willing to take on new challenges.
- interact naturally with people, and customer service is second nature to you.
- are ready to learn new things and develop your role over time.
