Flovi, Head of Legal & Compliance
Flovi makes car transportation effortless. We are building Europe’s leading car logistics platform. Through our technology platform and dynamic driver network, we move vehicles with the optimal combination of speed, quality, and cost.
In 2025, we transported over 150,000 vehicles and continue to grow rapidly. We currently operate in Finland, Sweden, and Poland, and our ambition is to expand to ten European markets by 2028 and exceed €100 million in revenue. While we are a growth company, we already operate at meaningful scale.
Flovi has an energetic, forward-looking culture. Our offices are located in Vantaa, Tampere, and Oulu (Finland), Borlänge (Sweden), and Warsaw (Poland).
The Role
We are looking for a business-oriented Head of Legal & Compliance to own and develop Flovi’s legal and compliance function in a fast-growing, international organization.
In this role, you will be a key enabler of Flovi’s international expansion, new market entries, fundraising rounds, and potential corporate transactions. You will work closely with the CFO (your manager), the Growth team, and country organizations to ensure that growth is executed in a legally sound, pragmatic, and business-supportive manner.
This is not a narrow specialist role, nor a leadership position over an existing legal team. It is a hands-on ownership role, where you lead the legal and compliance function by effectively leveraging external legal partners.
Key Responsibilities
International Expansion & New Markets
Lead legal pre-assessments for new market entries and manage local regulatory requirements through external advisors
Assess, among other things:
employment law and contractor / freelancer regulations
requirements related to company incorporation, insurance, and permits
Work closely with the CFO in company formation and market entry processes
Build a scalable legal playbook / handbook to support efficient expansion into new markets
Legal, Compliance & Risk Management
Own Flovi’s group-level legal and compliance framework
Develop and maintain contract templates, liability structures, and legal frameworks
Lead and coordinate external legal advisors across multiple countries in a cost-efficient manner
Support the organization in key business- and growth-related legal matters
Fundraising, Due Diligence & Transactions
Act as a key legal contributor in fundraising rounds, due diligence processes, and potential M&A or strategic transactions
Ensure Flovi is continuously legally DD-ready for investors and partners
What We Expect from You
Master’s degree in Law (LL.M. or equivalent)
Several years of experience in corporate or commercial legal roles
Solid baseline understanding of:
commercial and contract law
employment law
company law and corporate governance
Strong business-oriented and solution-driven mindset
Ability to operate in uncertainty — you understand that delayed decision-making can pose a greater risk than legal uncertainty itself
Experience in a growth company and/or international operating environment
Ability to understand broad legal and business contexts and drive matters forward independently
Experience or genuine interest in fundraising processes, due diligence, or transactions
Excellent English skills (additional languages are considered an advantage)
Knowledge of Finnish law is important, but we particularly value the ability to operate effectively in international environments and to leverage local legal experts efficiently.
What We Offer
A key role in Flovi’s international growth and strategic development
Genuine ownership of the legal and compliance function
The opportunity to directly shape how Flovi expands across Europe
Flexible remote working practices and competitive employee benefits
An energetic, ambitious work environment
A chance to be part of an exceptional growth story and grow with the company
Would you like to be part of Flovi’s successful future?
Please submit your application via this link as soon as possible, but no later than 21 January 2026.
Recruitment process:
We will interview candidates on a rolling basis during the application period in weeks 2 and 3, and after the application deadline in week 4. Candidates selected for the second round will be interviewed by Flovi in week 5. The two finalists will also be asked to complete an approximately one-hour online assessment as part of the final selection stage.
The recruitment process is handled by Outi Ahorinta, Chief Talent & Client at Choice. If you would like to learn more about the role or Flovi, Outi can be reached on weekdays between 9:00 and 13:00 at +358 50 541 3182.
