Electrical Designer for Coherent

Are you an electrical designer who enjoys hands-on work? Would you be interested in working with design projects for international customers? 

We are now looking for an Electrical Designer to join and strengthen our R&D-team in Tampere.

Work as an Electrical Designer

As an Electrical Designer at Coherent your role is to design, develop, modify and evaluate electronic parts, components or integrated circuits for electronic equipment, other hardware systems and/or electrical engineering applications. You are responsible for electrical design and documentation, including component selection, circuit design and wiring/harness design. Even though this is an independent role you will actively interact with engineering, manufacturing and product data management. You will get the opportunity to do electrical design for international customers and participate in versatile R&D-projects as a technical expert.

To succeed in this role:

  • Above all, you enjoy hands-on work in electrical and automation design.

  • You have experience in electrical design CAD-software, preferably Eplan. Experience in PLC (Beckhoff) is also valuable in this role.

  • You understand electrical design procedures and PDM processes.

  • You have a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical and/or Automation Engineering.

  • You have an analytical and detail-oriented way of working and good written and verbal communication skills.

General information about the role

  • The starting time for this position can be negotiated when the right person has been selected.

  • Your workplace is located in Rusko, Tampere. You can also work partially remotely (around 2 days per week minimum at the office in Tampere).

  • In this position, Finnish language skills are an advantage, but not mandatory. The language requirement is English.

  • The salary range is around 3800-4400€/month based on overall competence, educational background and previous experience. In addition to that, we reward our employees for good performance according to the Group’s bonus program.
