What is it all about?
114 square kilometers of the Kuwaitian land has been severely damaged due to the destruction of oil wells during the Gulf crises of 1990. Crude oil gushed forth from the damaged oil wells, forming huge oil lakes.
Lamor Corporation Plc together with a local partner Khalid Ali al-Kharafi are executing two of the historically largest soil remediation projects in the world with over 7 million tons of soil to be cleaned up in Kuwait.
The project is one of the biggest in history.

The Kuwait Oil Company has worked to develop a comprehensive environmental program called “Comprehensive Rehabilitation Solutions”, which includes several projects for soil rehabilitation and environmental reclamation, and covers all affected areas and sectors within the company’s scope of work.
These projects are expected to be implemented within a decade.

Who are we looking for?

Senior Environmental and Remediation Specialist
The senior position for this project is a technical and managing specialist in charge of supporting and monitoring the progress of the environmental and remediation team in both projects and proposing recommendations for actions. This position is made for someone with drive, determination and vision. Ideally you already have experience working in an arid desert environment and with international team of professionals.

Junior Environmental and Remediation Specialist
The junior specialist position is a technical and scientific position who will provide back-office support to our team remotely from Spain or Finland, visiting Kuwait 2–3 times per year. This position will assist the team in Kuwait and Finland monitoring the progress of work, planning activities and preparing technical reports. This position is made for someone proactive, with drive, curiosity, determination and an eager aim to learn.
