What is the job all about?

We are now looking for a skilled and motivated BI Specialist (ICT Analyst, Information Management) to join our ICT team. You will be working as a member of our Information Management Team, using a variety of tools to provide solutions for our businesses around the world. Your main responsibility is to develop and support business reporting and business analytics services in Walki group. You will be working as a project manager or team member in our global projects, closely together with business line and operations functions. The preferred location for the position is Valkeakoski, other Walki’s facilities may be considered.

Are you the one for us?

Do you have

  • a bachelor's degree in ICT related studies
  • minimum 3 years ICT experience preferably in an international production environment
  • positive and open customer service attitude
  • readiness and willingness to work hands on in the development and maintenance issues
  • good team work and communication skills and the ability to build relationships and influence other people
  • pro-active and commercial attitude, ability to analyse situations and solve problems
  • ability to remain calm, think clearly and proactively, and to prioritize tasks in high pressure and unexpected situations
  • experience of project work
  • good communication skills and fluency in English is a must in our international environment - Finnish or other

Would be great if you also have experience in any of the following applications/tools:

  • IBM / Cognos reporting solutions
  • ETL processes and data warehousing concepts
  • Microsoft Power BI
  • Microsoft SQL Server or other modern databases
  • Microsoft technologies like AD, O365 and other business solution
